Indian Head Massage

'Champissage' or Indian Head Massage, is the traditional Indian technique for treating the upper back, neck, shoulders, face and scalp. In India it has been practised for over a thousand years and the techniques were developed by women who used oils to help keep their hair in beautiful condition.

How does it work?

Indian Head Massage is an holistic therapy and aims to treat the person on all levels. The techniques help to restore balance by relieving stress through the body's own healing process. Through massage of the head and shoulders, a general feeling of relaxation is achieved together with a re-balancing of the body's energy centres. The massage improves the blood flow encouraging healing throughout the body.
